Love Poems and Love Poetry
from the pens of mystic masters from today and yesteryear

Church of the East welcomes you to the Yoga
of Jesus

Love poems and poetry, art, are the only vehicles by which we can
express our spirit's deepest passions.
There are no words worthy of describing the experience of Love.
Being in love is a spiritual state not of this world --perhaps, often, in
this world but the passion is experienced in realms outside of this world.
Human language has a problem to talk about love, whichever form it
takes. The deepest love letters and love poetry we can produce
always leaves the reader with a feeble image--but at least an image- of
the raging fire that spurned the lover to blurt out on paper or sculpture
his/her loving passions and longings.
We are hopelessly lost in he human state to make good with coming
to rational terms with Love. Love is not science, love cannot be weighed
and measured -- love is a spiritual experience and human language is
formed to speak only of tangible measurables of this three dimensional
world. Love is not of this world.
We write art, poetry and verse and prose to feebly attempt to express
our deepest ever emotion - love.
Love poetry takes many forms. This site started out listing some
mystical poetry by classic authors. We are now receiving love poetry
submissions from other writers, many young writers, and we hope that our
Love Prose and Poetry site will soon (in 2001) be a vast library attesting
to the exhilaration, beauty, passion and depth of the LOVE emotion our
spirits may sometimes experience --and then sadly only glimpses of It at
that.
Church of the East members have access to hundreds of
helpful pages.
